BORDER BULLDOGS
Vincere Velmori
Founded 1891
Home Ground : BRU Stadium

The Border Rugby Union is situated in East London, bang in the middle of the hotbed of black rugby in South Africa. Taking this into consideration, it's not surprising to find that many of today's black stars who has represented the Springboks or the various Vodacom Super 14 franchises actually learned to play the game in the Eastern Cape. In its early days, Border was one of the stronger provincial teams in the country, sharing the Absa Currie Cup twice (1932 and 1934). They are also one of the oldest unions in South Africa.
